Six rescued after being swept out to sea in Co Louth
Six people, including five children, were rescued by the RNLI and Coast Guard after being swept out to sea while paddleboarding and kayaking in County Louth. All individuals were wearing safety gear and were transported to safety for medical assessment.

Five paddleboarders and one kayaker have been rescued after being swept out to sea from Port Beach in Co Louth.
Clogherhead RNLI volunteers were alerted to the incident at around 1 o'clock this afternoon.
The group, who were aged between 11 and 15 years old, were accompanied by an adult and were all wearing lifejackets and wetsuits.
Choppy sea conditions and southwesterly winds made it difficult for the group to stay together and they dialled 999 for assistance.
The Michael O'Brien lifeboat and Clogherhead Coast Guard unit were deployed, and the Coast Guard helicopter also attended the scene.
