Six policemen suspended over death of pregnant woman; SP workers stage sit-in

Six police personnel, including two sub-inspectors, have been suspended by the Superintendent of Police following the death of a pregnant woman in the Shikohabad area of Firozabad. The woman was allegedly kicked in the abdomen by the raiding team while they were arresting her husband who is accused of theft.
Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Ravi Shankar Prasad said Superintendent of Police Aditya Langhe suspended Sub-Inspectors Dharmpal Singh and Satyapal Singh, Head Constables Mohan Singh and Arvind Kumar, and Constables Bhavtosh Kumar and Kuldeep Kumar with immediate effect on Monday (September 14, 2026) for negligence.
He said the woman’s post-mortem examination was conducted late at night, and her last rites were performed the same night. A large police force was deployed during the proceedings.
