Six-lane underpass planned near Millennium City Centre Metro in Gurugram
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority is planning a 1.35-km six-lane underpass near the Millennium City Centre Metro Station to alleviate traffic congestion. The project, costing ₹55.46 crore, includes sustainable features like solar panels and rainwater harvesting structures.

A 1.35-km-long, six-lane bidirectional underpass will be constructed at the busy intersection near the Millennium City Centre Metro Station at a cost of ₹55.46 crore.
The project is expected to ease congestion at the junction of Sectors 27, 29, 43 and 44, improve connectivity to the Southern Peripheral Road, and reduce travel time. It is scheduled for completion within 18 months.
P.C. Meena, Chief Executive Officer of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), said the project had been designed to streamline traffic movement by separating through traffic from local traffic at the junction.
The underpass will have three lanes in each direction. A parallel six-lane at-grade carriageway will also be developed to facilitate local traffic movement.
