Two people have died and six others sustained injuries in a road crash at Dr. Marbel Junction on the Accra–Kumasi Highway in the Eastern Region.

The accident occurred on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, and involved a DAF truck with registration number BF 1722E6, a VW Sprinter bus with registration number ER 195-24 and a tricycle with registration number M-25-AS-8071.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), firefighters from the Suhum Municipal Fire Station responded to the incident and rescued one person who was trapped under the DAF truck.
