According to the locals, the area relies on a single, overburdened transformer whose capacity has never been upgraded, resulting in dim lighting that hinders students from studying at night and weak ceiling fans that disrupt sleep.
The persistent voltage drops also prevent borewell motors from functioning properly, cutting off regular drinking water supplies, and forcing many households to purchase water.
