SIR row: No notice issued to Prof CNR Rao over name discrepancy, says Bengaluru official

NEW DELHI: No notice was issued to Bharat Ratna awardee and renowned scientist Prof C N R Rao over a discrepancy in his name in the electoral roll during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) chief commissioner M Maheshwar Rao said on Wednesday, as cited by news agency PTI.Clarifying the matter, the GBA said in a statement that the booth level officer (BLO) did not issue any notice to Rao.
