SIPCOT industrial park set to boost industrial climate of Tiruchi

Brisk development activity at Small Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) industrial park at Manapparai has raised hopes of boosting the industrial climate of Tiruchi and neighbouring districts.

Aimed at providing land at an affordable long-term lease basis, the State government issued a GO about 14-years ago for setting up an industrial park by acquiring 1,097 acres of land at Kannudaiyanpatti, K. Periyapatti, and Chathirapatti near Manapparai on Tiruchi-Dindigul Highway. SIPCOT began issuing applications for allotment of land to entrepreneurs in 2021. Of 1,097 acres, 396 acres have been developed. Of the total available land, it earmarked 131.92 acres to Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO) and the remaining land is being allocated to entrepreneurs.
