Small Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) has floated a tender to carry out development work at its industrial park near Manapparai on the Tiruchi-Dindigul Highway.

The park, aimed at providing land at an affordable long-term lease basis for the industrial purposes, was established on 1,097 acres at Kannudaiyanpatti, K. Periyapatti, and Chathirapatti near Manapparai on Tiruchi-Dindigul Highway about 14 years ago. After acquiring land, the SIPCOT carried out development work such as road, approach roads, street lights, drains, and water supply for about 5 km. It began the process of allotment of land to the companies.
