Legendary singer S. Janaki was cremated with full state honours at a farmhouse in Kaniyanahundi near Mysuru on Sunday (July 12, 2026) evening.
Ms. Janaki’s granddaughter Vydyula performed the last rites in the presence of her close relatives, friends and a large number of admirers.
Earlier, Ms Janaki’s body was brought in a vehicle to the farmhouse in HD Kote taluk of Mysuru district from Maharaja’s College grounds, where it was kept for public viewing.
