Singer Edy Hsiao thanks wife for not leaving him when he had only 38 sen

Taiwanese singer Edy Hsiao released a new solo album featuring a track dedicated to his wife, Mei. The song honors her support during his financial struggles in 2009 when he had only NT$3 left.

Taiwanese artiste Edy Hsiao recently dropped his debut solo album which features the track Three Dollars , dedicated to his wife Mei.
According to reports, the song was written as a tribute to Mei for standing by him during his lowest point in life, when he was left with just NT$3 (38 sen).
In an interview with Singapore media, Hsiao confirmed that the experience was real, revealing that it happened around the time boy band Energy – of which he is a member – went on hiatus in 2009.
“I already had a family and children, but my income was very unstable. I was constantly waiting for work, so I was really at a low point,” the 44-year-old said.
Reflecting on that difficult period, Hsiao said he’s grateful to Mei for never leaving his side and continuing to support him through the uncertainty.
