Singai G. Ramachandran appointed Chairperson of Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission
The Tamil Nadu government has appointed Singai G. Ramachandran as the Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM). Ramachandran, an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus and former AIADMK IT wing secretary, will focus on expanding the startup ecosystem into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

The Tamil Nadu government has appointed Singai.G. Ramachandran as Chairperson of Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM). He had quit the AIADMK and joined the ruling TVK last month in the presence of Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay.
A Government Order to his effect has been issued by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department.
According to government sources, as Chairman of TANSIM, his focus will be on strengthening Tamil Nadu’s startup ecosystem by taking entrepreneurship deeper into colleges and districts, strengthening Tier-2 and Tier-3 startup hubs, improving access to mentorship and capital, connecting startups with talent, and building stronger national and global networks for Tamil Nadu’s founders.
An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and PSG College of Technology, Ramachandran brings over a decade of entrepreneurial experience spanning consumer businesses, digital media and the D2C sector.
