SIMS Chennai launches multidisciplinary Aesthetic Institute
SIMS Hospital in Chennai has launched a new multidisciplinary Aesthetic Institute focusing on both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic treatments. The facility integrates specialists from plastic surgery, dermatology, and other fields to provide personalized care plans.
Why it matters
This reflects the growing trend of integrated, multidisciplinary healthcare models in the cosmetic and elective surgery industry.
SIMS Hospital, Chennai, has launched the SIMS Aesthetic Institute (SAI), a dedicated centre offering multidisciplinary aesthetic surgery and aesthetic medicine.
The institute brings together specialists in four areas-- plastic surgery, dermatology, cosmetic obstetrics and gynaecology, and maxillofacial and dental surgery. It will provide both surgical and non-surgical treatments across facial aesthetics, body contouring, breast aesthetics, skin and hair care, cosmetic gynaecology, and maxillofacial and dental aesthetics.
The institute aims to offer personalised treatment plans based on individual anatomy, expectations and aesthetic goals, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Its multidisciplinary model allows patients to access the appropriate specialist based on their specific concerns.
T. R. Paarivendhar, founder-chancellor, SRM Group, said the institute was envisioned around a holistic approach to aesthetics, where appearance, proportion, function, well-being and safety are considered together.
