Simba data breach: Personal information of over 23,500 customers leaked

Mobile operator Simba reported a data breach on September 24 that exposed the personal information of over 23,500 customers. The company stated that no financial data was compromised and that they are working with authorities to investigate the incident.

In a statement posted on its website on Sept 25, the telco said that the data that was included in the breach included names, identity card numbers, date of birth, mobile numbers, and email addresses belonging to its customers who had registered for its services.
