The Sibol Pokémon UNITE team is now assured of at least a bronze medal in the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 after a dominant 2-0 victory over Hong Kong in the quarterfinals at the Aichi Sky Expo on Sunday, Sept. 27.
The Nationals shrugged off an earlier resistance from Hong Kong to draw first blood in the series before banking on a clutch team fight in the last two minutes of Game 2 to essay the sweep and advance to the semifinals of the Pokémon UNITE tournament.
With the win, Sibol is now assured of a bronze medal but can still improve it to a silver in the semifinals clash against Indonesia later in the day.
