Shubman Gill, Iyer to attend BCCI meeting to review India’s dismal UK tour
The BCCI is holding a review meeting with key coaching staff and team captains to assess the Indian cricket team's poor performance during recent tours of the UK, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka. The meeting will also address concerns regarding player injury management and fitness protocols.

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has called a review meeting with head coach Gautam Gambhir, chief selector Ajit Agarkar and Centre of Excellence (CoE) head VVS Laxman at its Mumbai headquarters on Thursday to assess India's recent performances and discuss the team's roadmap going forward.There is also a possibility that India's T20 captain Shreyas Iyer and ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill will attend the meeting.The review was originally planned after India's defeats in Ireland and England, but was postponed because of the team's two-Test tour of Sri Lanka.BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia will attend the meeting along with BCCI president Mithun Manhas.England, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka tours under reviewThe reigning T20 World Cup champions lost the two-match T20I series in Ireland 2-0 in June. The poor run continued in England, where India lost the five-match T20I series 4-0.
