The Bantwal Rural Police on Saturday registered a case against Shri Rama Vidya Kendra Trust, Kalladka, for operating a school bus without valid insurance, registration, and fitness certificates.
On Wednesday, a six-year-old girl studying at the trust’s school died and two other students were injured when a huge tree fell on the moving school bus at Barimaru village in Bantwal taluk.
During the investigation, it was found that the bus neither had valid insurance nor a registration or fitness certificate. The vehicle’s registration certificate had not been transferred to the name of Shri Rama Vidya Kendra and continued to be owned by another trust, the police said in a statement here.
