Shivamogga SP transfers two policemen after video showing them carrying BJP MLA on their shoulders goes viral

Shivamogga Superintendent of Police B. Nikhil has transferred two police constables after a video clip showing them carrying Shivamogga MLA S.N. Channabasappa of BJP on their shoulders during a Ganesha procession in the city went viral on social media.

Ganesh, a head constable, and Prakash A.K., a constable, both attached to the East Traffic Police Station in the city, have been transferred to Agumbe Police Station in Tirthahalli taluk and Anavatti Police Station in Sorab taluk, respectively. The SP issued the transfer orders on Tuesday based on a report from the Traffic Inspector in the city.
