Shivamogga Deputy Commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatti has instructed officials to expedite the auctioning of sand seized during raids conducted by the district task force, as per procedure.

At a meeting with the officers in Shivamogga on Wednesday, the DC said the seized sand had been stored on the premises of the office of the Mines and Geology Department, Freedom Park, and the police station at Hosanagara. He insisted that the auction process was conducted without violating rules.
