Bajrang Dal activists have called for a bandh in Shikaripur on Wednesday (August 19), condemning an alleged attack on its workers by cattle thieves in Hosanagara taluk.
Addressing a press conference in Shivamogga on Monday (August 17), Vishwa Hindu Parishad secretary Rajesh Gowda said a group of men engaged in cattle theft had assaulted Bajrang Dal workers at Harathalu village in Hosanagara taluk on Sunday (August 16). “The activists chased the thieves who were taking away the stolen cattle in a vehicle. The accused rammed the vehicle in which the activists were travelling and later assaulted them. A case has been registered at Shikaripur Rural Police Station. We demand the immediate arrest of the accused,” he said.
