Shivamogga: 1.56 lakh voters in ASSD category
The Shivamogga district administration has identified over 1.5 lakh voters as 'Absent, Shifted, Deceased, or Duplicate' during a special electoral roll revision. Officials are working to digitize records and are coordinating with political parties to ensure the accuracy of the voter list before the draft publication.

The Shivamogga district administration has identified 1.56 lakh voters under the ASSD (Absent, Shifted, Deceased and Duplicate) category during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. These names are likely to be excluded from the draft electoral roll, which is scheduled to be published on August 17.
Addressing a press conference in Shivamogga on Tuesday (July 28), Deputy Commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatti said the digitisation of enumeration forms submitted by electors was in progress. So far, the details of 12,93,844 voters — 85.15% of the district’s total electorate of 15,19,459 — have been digitised. As many as 6,196 electors submitted their enumeration forms online.
