Shiv Sena (UBT) neta shot dead outside party office in Thane

THANE: Shiv Sena (UBT) functionary Pradeep Purnekar was allegedly shot twice outside his party office in the Manpada area of Ghodbunder Road on Tuesday night, sending shockwaves through the area.Purnekar sustained serious injuries in the firing and was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors later declared him dead, a senior police officer confirmed.The incident took place outside the party office, where the assailants allegedly opened fire at Purnekar before fleeing the spot. The firing triggered tension in Manpada and Manorama Nagar, with residents and local party workers gathering in the area following the incident.The Kapurbawdi police have launched an investigation into the killing and are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the attackers and trace their movements.
