Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Saturday (August 8, 2026) extended its support to the government for the implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill linked and the delimitation exercise.
Following a meeting of its senior leaders in Chandigarh, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal said the party demands the “immediate implementation” of the women’s quota. ”The Shiromani Akali Dal, at a meeting of its senior leaders in Chandigarh today, demanded the immediate implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the country,” he wrote in a post on X.
Supporting the Delimitation exercise, Mr. Badal said, “after detailed deliberations on key issues before Parliament, the Shiromani Akali Dal also demanded a fair and equitable Delimitation that ensures equal representation to all States.”
