All of Darcy Wilmot, Jaspa Fletcher, Levi Ashcroft, Will Ashcroft and Logan Morris made last year’s final side, with the back-to-back reigning premiers’ five players unsurprisingly the equal-most of any club in the 40-man squad.
Impressively, the Kangaroos had five of their own young guns make the preliminary listing, while West Coast’s young talent saw four nominees. Port Adelaide was the only club without a player in the broader squad.
