Athlone native Alan Sheehan has joined Craig Bellamy's coaching staff at Wales.
The Athlone native has been out of work since his dismissal by Swansea City in November 2025 with the club lying 18th in the Sky Bet Championship.
Sheehan had two earlier stints in charge of the Swans on an interim basis before taking over full-time in April of last year.
Sheehan has been joined in the Welsh backroom team by former team captain Ashley Williams.
Williams has worked as a pundit since retiring from playing in 2021 and has also been involved in coaching several Wales age-group camps.
