Shaadi.com founder and Shark Tank India judge Anupam Mittal has now shared his views on why many business plans fail. In a post shared on professional social networking platform LinkedIn, Mittal argued that companies often mistake activity for progress by focusing on long to-do lists instead of solving the few issues that really matter. Mittal said that businesses do not succeed by creating plans filled with dozens of tasks. “You don't win with a long list of things to do," he wrote. As per Mittal, many of the organisations create plans consisting of 25 to 50 items that need to be checked off, creating what he described as a "false sense of progress" as teams focus on completing tasks rather than addressing the main obstacles holding back growth. Mittal also believed that most companies are typically constrained by only one other two major bottlenecks at any given time.
