Why it matters
This success highlights the growing global influence of African artists in mainstream international music charts and the continued commercial power of major sporting events.
Fresh off its reign atop the Billboard Global 200 and its spotlight turn during the World Cup's first-ever halftime show, Shakira and Burna Boy 's "Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)" adds another win as it vaults 4-1 on the Latin Airplay chart (dated July 25).
The rise delivers Shakira her 25th No. 1 and hands Burna Boy a chart-topper in his first visit.
With "Dai Dai" atop Latin Airplay, Shakira extends her record for the most No. 1s among women in the chart's 32-year history (J Balvin remains the overall leader with 40 chart-toppers). "Dai Dai" reaches the summit with a 25% gain in audience impressions, to 7.3 million, across the 152 Latin-reporting stations in the United States during the July 10-16 tracking week, according to Luminate.
