Umno veteran Shahrir Samad has amicably settled a civil suit against former MACC chief Latheefa Koya, the MACC, and the government over alleged malicious prosecution. However, Shahrir's suit against former attorney-general Tommy Thomas remains pending, with a court date set for Oct 16 to hear an application for its discontinuance.

A civil suit filed by Umno veteran Shahrir Samad against former MACC chief Latheefa Koya, the anti-graft agency, and the government over alleged malicious prosecution has been amicably resolved at the Kuala Lumpur High Court.
The former Felda chairperson’s counsel, Firoz Hussein Ahmad Jamaluddin, told judge Gan Techiong that his client had reached a resolution with the second to fourth defendants.
