Shah launches Barapullah corridor, three other road projects worth ₹1,941 cr. in Delhi
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated four major road infrastructure projects in Delhi, including the long-delayed Barapullah Phase-3 elevated corridor. These projects, valued at ₹1,941 crore, aim to reduce traffic congestion and improve connectivity between east and south Delhi.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday inaugurated four road infrastructure projects worth ₹1,941 crore in Delhi, including the long-pending Barapullah Phase-3 elevated corridor, which is expected to cut travel time between Mayur Vihar Phase-1 and south Delhi by around 20-25 minutes.
The 3.5-km elevated stretch from Mayur Vihar Phase-I to Sarai Kale Khan connects with the existing Barapullah network, extending signal-free connectivity towards AIIMS and INA. Worth ₹1,635 crore, the nearly 10.9-km Phase-3 project is intended to allow commuters from east Delhi and Noida to bypass several major congestion points, including the DND Flyway, Ashram Chowk, Ring Road, and Sarai Kale Khan.
