Photo Ministry of Health --> Healthcare providers across the country have been given an additional month to comply with mandatory Health Management Information System (HMIS) requirements after the Social Health Authority (SHA) extended the deadline to September 30, 2026.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, September 1, SHA said the extension would allow healthcare providers additional time to complete the necessary system configuration and compliance processes.

“We encourage all providers to use the extension period to ensure full compliance before the revised deadline. Facilities facing technical or system-related challenges are advised to contact the Digital Health Agency Technical Support team for assistance,” the authority said.

The extension comes after SHA had initially set September 1 as the deadline for contracted healthcare facilities to adopt a DHA-certified HMIS integrated with the national Health Information Exchange (HIE).
