SH33 crash: Pedestrian seriously injured as vehicle allegedly leaves scene

One person is in a serious condition after a crash in the Bay of Plenty.
Police were called to a crash on State Highway 33, between Maungarangi Rd and Old Coach Rd, around 9.20am.
The road was closed and reopened at 12.20pm.
Police said the crash involved a car and a pedestrian, and confirmed one person has sustained serious injuries.
Hato Hone St John was called to the crash at 9.17am.
