SFI secures massive victory in Kerala University union elections

The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) has registered a dominant sweep in the college union elections under Kerala University, with a massive victory in Thiruvananthapuram district.
Out of the 31 colleges where elections were held in the district, SFI secured victories in 29 institutions. Notably, SFI recaptured four major campuses from the Kerala Students Union (KSU), including SN College, Varkala; Government College, Nedumangad; AJ College, Thonnakkal; and St. Xavier’s College, Thumba, while retaining its hold on 25 other colleges.
Elections in the University College and Government KNM Arts and Science College, Kanjiramkulam, were postponed owing to nomination-related disputes.
Meanwhile, high drama unfolded at the university headquarters as protests by KSU and SFI activists created a tense atmosphere on campus.
