SFI, DYFI seek withdrawal of cases against student protesters
The SFI and DYFI have demanded the withdrawal of cases against student protesters who demonstrated at Jantar Mantar. They also called for criminal action against police officers involved in the alleged assault of students and reiterated their opposition to the National Education Policy 2020.

The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), Visakhapatnam district committees, on Saturday (August 01, 2026) condemned the alleged police action against students who protested at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Addressing a press conference, SFI district president P. Sai Teja and DYFI district president U.S.N. Raju alleged that false cases had been registered against student leaders, including SFI All India joint secretary Aishe Ghosh, following the protest. They demanded immediate withdrawal of all cases against the protesters and sought criminal action against the Delhi Police personnel allegedly involved in the assault.
