Foundation stones were laid and several development works worth ₹31 crore were inaugurated in Yelburga town on Sunday.
The programme, organised by the Koppal district administration and Yelburga Town Panchayat at the open-air theatre in the town, saw the launch of various civic, educational and public infrastructure projects.
Urban Development Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah inaugurated the programme by watering a sapling.
Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayaraddi presided over the function.
Among the major projects launched was the construction of the Sangolli Rayanna Stadium at an estimated cost of ₹8.50 crore.
A bhoomi puja was also performed for the construction of a Praja Soudha building to be built at a cost of ₹16 crore.
