Seven Tamil Nadu fishermen taken into custody near Krishnaparnam Port
Seven fishermen from Tamil Nadu were taken into custody by police near Krishnapatnam Port in Andhra Pradesh. They were allegedly caught fishing within the state's territorial waters and have been handed over to local authorities for investigation.
The Krishnapatnam police patrolling team seized a boat and took seven Tamil Nadu fishermen into custody in the sea, near the Krishnapatnam Port, on Sunday. The fishermen, who were allegedly found fishing in Andhra Pradesh’s territorial waters, about 6-km near the Krishnapatnam Port, were handed over to the Isukapalli police for further action, the police said in a press release. Officers of the Fisheries and Police departments were investigating the case.
