Seven killed, 19 injured as truck hits pickup van in Maharashtra’s Amravati

Seven people were killed, and 19 were injured when a truck hit a Bolero pickup van on the Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra’s Amravati district on Friday (October 2, 2026), the police said.
The accident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Channel 97 of the high-speed carriageway near the Dhamangaon railway station. Five persons died on the spot.
The injured were first taken to Dhamangaon Rural Hospital and later referred to Adani Institute of Higher Education and Research in Wardha.
An official from Adani Institute said two of the injured were declared dead on arrival. The official said one victim has been shifted to Nagpur.
