Seven, including six nursing students arrested, in drug case in Puducherry

The police have arrested seven persons, including six students who are pursuing nursing course at a private medical college here, under several sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in connection with the use and sale of ganja in Puducherry.
The police identified the accused as Sumanraja, Purushothaman, Ajay, Sheik Asif, Sudharshan, all residents of neighbouring districts of Tamil Nadu and Abdhul Nabhil, a resident of Thilaspet in Puducherry.
The other accused arrested in the case, Hashik Ali, a resident of Kattumannar Koil in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu, had procured and handed over the cannabis to the students for use and sale inside the campus.
