Thoothukudi South Police have arrested seven persons for selling banned lottery tickets.

They were identified as S. Anston, 42, from Colachel, V. Naveen Raja, 26, from Muthiahpuram, G. Surya, 25, from Simmakkal, S. Narayanasamy, 40, S. Gopi Kannan, 35, Kannan, 37, all from Anna Nagar in Thoothukudi and Delhi Babu, 30 from Kaduganur in Tiruvannamalai district.

The police seized papers containing lottery ticket numbers, 11 mobile phones, three two-wheelers and ₹77,300 in cash from them. Further investigation is on.
