The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has suspended seven officials following a raid by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC).
In Thiru. Vi. Ka. Nagar zone, an Executive Engineer in the zone, Assistant Executive Engineer of Unit 16, Assistant Engineer of Division 74, and Junior Assistant in Revenue Section were suspended, based on FIR No.06/AC/2026/CC-II dt.6.7.2026.
In Teynampet zone, three officials were placed under suspension following a joint surprise check, and a sanitary officer of Unit-27 and conservancy supervisor of Unit-26 were suspended.
