Seven arrested in two murder cases reported in Madurai

The Madurai City Police have arrested seven persons in connection with two separate murders reported under Chinthamani and Jaihindpuram police station limits.
The police said in the murder of Murugan at Chinthamani, four persons, identified as Dhavamani, Chandru, Santhosh and Sridhar, had been arrested.
The police said Murugan was returning home at Kannan Colony after attending a hearing in a court in Paramakudi on Wednesday afternoon. Some unidentified persons, who had followed him, chased Murugan and hacked him to death in his house.
The police said Murugan’s murder was executed in revenge for a murder reported in Ramanathapuram in 2018.
