NEW DELHI: In a major setback for Uddhav Thackeray, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Saturday formally recognised the change in party affiliation of six Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs who have joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, according to an official communication issued by the Lok Sabha secretariat.The decision formally updates the party position in the 18th Lok Sabha to reflect the six MPs' switch to the Shinde-led faction.In a communication dated July 18, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said, "Consequent upon the change in party affiliation of 6 Members of Shiv Sena (UBT) in Lok Sabha, the revised Party Position in Eighteenth Lok Sabha, as on 18.07.2026 is enclosed."
