Sergio Conceicao warns Amorim: ‘Not easy at Milan, the coach isn’t the problem’
Former AC Milan coach Sergio Conceicao has warned his successor, Rubem Amorim, that managing the club is exceptionally difficult due to unrealistic expectations. Conceicao argues that the frequent turnover of coaches at Milan suggests the problems lie deeper than the managerial position.

Sergio Conceicao is not looking back on his Milan tenure with much favour, and has warned current incumbent Rubem Amorim that it 'won't be easy' for him in San Siro: "People think they should be winning the league and Champions League every year."
Conceicao had a short spell in charge of Milan in the second half of the 2024-25 season, a spell that began with a Supercoppa Italiana victory within his first two matches in charge, but was ultimately remembered by supporters for a lacklustre eighth-place finish in Serie A, failing to secure qualification to any European competition for 2025-26.
