Senior cop in court over rape, sexual grooming allegations

JOHANNESBURG - Acting National Police Commissioner Puleng Dimpane has welcomed the arrest of a senior police officer facing allegations of rape and sexual grooming.
The 59-year-old Lieutenant-General is accused of allegedly raping an 18-year-old woman at a hotel in Sandton in May.
He also faces allegations of sexually grooming a 16-year-old girl between July and August 2026.
