Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi , representing Osun Central Senatorial District, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), barely 12 months after joining the ruling party, citing alleged breach of agreements, lack of internal democracy and loss of confidence in the party’s leadership in Osun State. The Nation recalled that Fadeyi dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in July for the APC, citing deepening internal crises, prolonged litigations, and a lack of leadership in the PDP as reasons for his exit. However, Fadeyi lost his APC re-election ticket to Osogbo-born Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Barr Kunle Adegoke in May 2026.
