Seminar on cybersecurity at KLE CET

The MCA Department of KLE College of Engineering and Technology organised a technical seminar and interactive session on the topic ‘Cybersecurity 360° – Secure Your Digital World’ in Chikkodi on Monday.
Resource person Sagargouda Patil, an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BMS Institute of Technology and Management, Bengaluru, spoke on various issues related to cybersecurity. He provided students with practical and industry-oriented insights into cyber threats, ethical hacking, penetration testing, cybercrime, digital forensics, and network and web security.
He gave day-to-day examples with real-life scenarios and held an interactive discussion. Dr. Patil emphasised the importance of protecting digital assets, networks, and personal information from cyber threats. During the event, students were also informed about job opportunities and essential skills in the field of cybersecurity. A question-and-answer session was held later.
