Self-help groups to make two lakh national flags ahead of I-Day
The Delhi government is engaging local Self-Help Groups to produce two lakh national flags for the upcoming 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. This initiative aims to combine nationalistic celebration with economic empowerment for the urban poor.

The Delhi government is preparing to roll out the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign ahead of Independence Day to promote public participation, patriotism and national unity. Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across Delhi have been given an important role in the campaign, and around two lakh national flags will be produced through eligible SHGs, as per the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
It will be organised by the State Urban Livelihood Mission (SULM) of the Delhi Government. The SULM works to strengthen the livelihoods of the urban poor by promoting Self-Help Groups and creating opportunities for skill development, entrepreneurship and self-employment.
