According to a civic body release, officials raided shops at Kizhavasal, Maattumaistry Lane, Vadakku Veedhi and the Ayyasamy Vandaiyar Memorial Bus Stand (Old Bus Stand) last week and seized banned plastic products such as ‘one-time use-and-throw’ bags, plastic-coated cups and coloured thin plastic sheets used to serve cooked food.
