Make California Post a Preferred Source Starbucks is getting ready to shut down dozens of California coffee shops, with 64 locations across the state apparently headed for the chopping block.

The closures stretch from Santa Rosa to San Diego, hitting the Bay Area, Sacramento, the Central Coast, Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire and beyond.

News outlets cross-checked a sampling of the California locations using the Starbucks app and the company’s store locator to find locations that didn’t have operating hours scheduled beyond this week.

The list of 64 California locations comes from Starbucks superfan and data tracker Winter , who has spent decades trying to visit every company-operated Starbucks in the world, according to SFGate . He also used the app to compile the list.
