Boko Haram terrorists on Thursday attacked the convoy of Mustapha Gubio, the governorship candidate for the Borno State All Progressive Congress (APC), on the Gubio-Karote-Damasekh highway in the northern part of the state. BusinessDay exclusively gathered that the convoy came under heavy attack at Karero town at about 2:30pm but was swiftly repelled by a combined team of security, including soldiers, police, NSCDC, DSS, CTJF and vigilante groups According to an insider source, the incident happened during a thank-you tour by Mustapha Gubio and his team to the northern part of the state.
