A 56-year-old security guard was killed after a sewage truck crashed into the compound wall of an apartment complex in Sholinganallur in the early hours of Saturday (September 5, 2026).
Kirupal, who was employed as a security guard at the complex, was inside the security cabin when the truck rammed into the wall.
According to the police, the sewage truck was proceeding along the road when its driver swerved to the right to avoid hitting another truck travelling on the left. The vehicle then crashed into the apartment complex’s compound wall.
