Security operatives in Kampala have arrested a prime suspect in connection with an ongoing investigation into an international human trafficking syndicate allegedly operating in Uganda for nearly two decades.
The suspect, who was apprehended on October 4, 2026, remains in police custody as investigators pursue further leads to determine the full scope of the organized network, sources said. According to documents linked to the investigation, the case was officially registered at the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) Headquarters in Kibuli under file reference E/202/2026 on September 22, 2026.
